The Challenge
This waterfront property was built in the 50’s and renovated in the 60’s, 80’s and then flooded in the 2011 Brisbane floods and repaired after that. The entire side of the house had sunk causing undulations in the floors and ceilings and maintenance was always high on cabinetry, doors, windows, roofing.
The Solution
We upgraded the columns, beams and footings to stabilise the house and then replaced the doors and windows and repaired wall linings, ceilings and roofing. The timber floors throughout the house were in a poor condition and we patched them and stained them black which came up amazing. I would recommend using black stain when the floors are not in the best shape.

Project Details
We reconfigured the kitchen, dining and living room by removing internal walls and opening it up to be one large open format room.
The use of an awning style window incorporates the outdoor living area to the state of the art kitchen. The use of Matte black cabinetry, brass handles and stone benchtops with waterfall ends created a stunning quality kitchen.
Wall paper is a huge feature throughout the house and I can now say that I’m a fan. Waterproof wall paper was used in the bathrooms and powder rooms.
