The Challenge

The objective was to create an open space entertaining area and upgrade the pool and tiled surround.

The challenge was due to fire restrictions we were unable to build any closer to the boundary. We needed to keep the roof 450mm and the beam and columns 900mm from the boundary.

The Solution

By installing a huge 8m long steel beam and columns we were able to keep the area an open space with only 2 columns being used.

We incorporated the use of ship lap cladding and timber wrapped the steel columns and beams to soften the industrial look and blend in with the style of the house. A quality pool refurbishment and granite pavers were used to bring the outdated area into the modern age.
